SOULE Foundation

The SOULE Foundation is designed to create an experience geared to support, develop and promote the educational advancement of LGBTQ youth and young people of color. We work to give LGBTQ youth and young adults of color the tools, advice and support to not just get through college, but to excel in college; have a fulfilled personal life, and design a great career. We provide financial assistance and support beyond tuition to help LGBTQ youth and young adults of color achieve their fullest potential. The SOULE Foundation provides annual scholarships for up to $5,000 to eligible youth and young adults in pursuit of an undergraduate or graduate degree. In addition, based on need, we also provide financial support for books and other school necessities.

Eligibility Criteria:

LGBTQ youth and young adults of color are eligible to be considered for a SOULE Foundation scholarship if they meet the following criteria:

• Have attained a cumulative high school or college GPA of at least 2.5
• Have a high school diploma or GED
• Are enrolled at a U.S. located, accredited college or university as a full-time student.
• Have submitted FAFSA by the deadline
• Meet the Federal Pell Grant eligibility criteria
• Two (2) letters of recommendation (form attached at the end of the application)
• Award Winner/s must be available for photo/video shoot to receive the award.
• Award Winner/s must be available to attend the Soule Foundation Gala.

Oklahoma's Promise

Oklahoma's Promise offers qualified Oklahoma students an opportunity to earn a scholarship for college tuition.

Students must apply in the 8th, 9th, 10th or 11th grade, be a resident of Oklahoma, complete a specific high school curriculum, achieve at least a 2.50 GPA both in the curriculum and overall, and abide by certain conduct standards. The federal adjusted gross income of the student's family may not exceed $60,000 for parents with one or two dependent children, $70,000 for parents with three or four dependent children or $80,000 for parents with 5 or more children at the time of application and $100,000 each year the student is enrolled in postsecondary education.

Oklahoma's Promise will pay resident tuition at a public college or a portion of tuition at private institutions or public technology centers in Oklahoma.

The LNVB Retroactive Scholarship is available to veterans who have completed some form of higher education. Oklahoma Women Veterans Organization Scholarships

OWVO offers $1,000 scholarships to women who are active duty or veterans and are from or live in Oklahoma. Their children and grandchildren are also eligible. Since we know it’s difficult for adults to attend full time, we are also offering $500 scholarships to part-time students.

Freedom Alliance Scholarship Fund

The Freedom Alliance Scholarship serves to honor the sons and daughters of military heroes. Applicants must be a dependent child of a U.S. Soldier, Sailor, Airman, Guardsman or Marine who was killed or permanently disabled in a combat mission or training accident. Additionally, students must be under the age of 26 at the time of application. Recipients can apply to renew the scholarship for up to three years, provided that the student is enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student with a GPA of at least 2.0.
